Cancer is an abnormal division of cells where the cells
divide hysterically in some part of the body and spread to other tissues
surrounding them.
Human body is composed of trillions of cells and their wear
and tear persists since the day that we’re born. When cells become old, they
die and new cells take their place, in the normal process of our body. But,
during cancer, old cells do not die and new cells still generate, increasing
the cell-count abnormally. Cancer can be found anywhere in human body and thus
there are abundant types of cancer. And the most prevailing type of cancer
these days is Lung cancer.
Cancer has become much frequent nowadays and the reason is that
many causes of cancer stick with our lifestyle and routine and we are
completely oblivious of them. To avoid cancer, which is a fatal disease in most
cases, we need to adopt some preventive measure.
Ways to
Prevent Cancer:
1)
Avoid
smoking and use of tobacco products.
We all know for a fact that smoking is injurious to health.
The reason behind this is the presence of more than 6000 chemicals in tobacco
which can be the cause of many types of cancer. Close to 9 out of 10 cases of lung cancer are caused
because of smoking. Also, smoking and use of tobacco products results in cancer
of kidney, mouth, nasal cavity and throat. To prevent cancer, one must strictly
shun the habit of smoking and using tobacco products.

Incorporate
healthy food in your diet

One must adopt a diet rich in fruits and vegetables.

Vegetables like carrots, squash and Brussels sprouts which
possess a rich content of carotenoids must be included in your diet. These help
in reducing the risk of cancers like lung
and mouth cancer.

Avoid using
starchy diet. Eat non-starchy vegetables like spinach, broccoli, beans etc.
These help preventing you against stomach cancer.

Fruits and nuts must be added to your breakfast.

Increase Fiber intake which prevents many
cancer-causing agents to attack, by keeping the digestive system healthy.
3)
Get
vaccinated
Many viral infections can build the risk of cancer inside
your body, thus, you must get a vaccination against certain diseases. For
instance, Hepatitis B is known to increase the risk of Liver cancer also, Human
papilloma virus (HPV) which is a sexually transmitted virus can cause some
genital cancers. So, you must get immunized against such viruses to prevent
cancer.
4)
Increase
water Intake
Water is a boon to our health. Water can prevent a great deal
of diseases and thus, we must drink lots of water. It has been scientifically
proven that drinking an appropriate amount of water results in detoxification
of our body and thus cutting down the risks of cancer. One must drink 8-10 glasses of water daily.
5)
Workout
Studies have proven that working out on a daily basis has
resulted in lowering the risks of many types of cancers, like lung cancer and cervical cancer. To
avoid the risk of cancer, you must add a 30-minute cardio vascular workout in
your routine.
